The Carlton Trail Ski Club held Sask Cup Race #3 on Sunday and despite it being slated for the third race of the year, it turned out to be the first due to previous cold weather.

It is a little embarrassing for me to admit that I went down the wrong road, so the normal 10 minute drive took about 25-30. Nobody ever accused me of being a genius, though I wonder if I can blame it on the thick fog that was out throughout the morning.

I had never been to a live skiing event before, so I wasn't sure what to expect but I can say it was a good experience. There was around 60 skiers out from across the province and family members were out ringing cowbells and clanging tamborines.

A small clip of the action from some of the kids races can be seen below. I'm just glad that I am not the one who had to race them, because it would almost be guaranteed that I would run out of breath before the conclusion.
