Raymond George Oakes
October 14, 1970 – June 11, 2022

Ray Oakes was born on October 14th, 1970 in Branden, MB.

He was well known for Crazy Ray’s Welding or maybe just being Crazy Ray. Welding was Ray’s occupation for many years with Deopkers Industries and started his own small business called, Crazy Ray’s Welding.  It wasn’t just a way to support his family but his passion. A way for him to express himself and create a beautiful piece.

As an active bar goer, he made friends and acquittances at all the stops. If you were able to crack his shell, you were one of the lucky ones to get to know the real Ray.

For the past few years Ray’s mental and physical health was at a decline due to a motorcycle accident that left him with brain damage. Which in turn lead him to losing many friends and family along the way. He never let his disabilities stop him. He found different ways to live and for that, he was admired. Ray’s heart was big, he just didn’t know how to use it without fear of rejection.

Thank you for being a support, friend, confidant, and an escape for Ray through his 51 years of life.

Raymond passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2022 in Humboldt.
