Ray Whitton is one of six acts that will hit the stage this Saturday for the Refugee Benefit Concert in Humboldt.

The concert is being held at the Humboldt Gathering Place to raise funds to support a Syrian Refugee family who is expected to be in Humboldt within just a couple weeks.

Tickets are still available at Causeway Natural Health and at the Newcomers Centre.

Along with Whitton, the evening will include performances by Magik Radix, the Horses Mouth, 40oz Philosophy, and a solo performace by Brian Grest of 40oz Philosophy, and Trevor Ross.

Whitton also filled us in on what is happening for him and his music career for 2016... and it sounds like things are going great for him.

The Humboldt musician has a spot on TeleMiracle 40, and he's also up for three different Saskatchewan Country Music Association Awards.

Whitton is up for emerging artist, roots artist, and roots album of the year.
