Monday night I participated in the annual Night Terror Trail Run hosted by the Humboldt Running Club.
It may have seemed like a cold night to go for a run, but the lack of wind actually made for the perfect evening for some outdoor exercise.
The run saw a group of about 15-20 runners travel down the Wildlife Trail which goes south of Humboldt behind Canadian Tire. The trail was decorated with some spooky objects including a skeleton dangling from a branch near the beginning, but that didn't scare me from continuing on as I ran 5km in the dark.
Those who missed out on the run but still want the opportunity to run with a group, the Humboldt Running Club is open to anyone of all ages and skill levels. Simply show up when the running club meets either Monday nights at 6:30 pm, or Saturday mornings at 7:30 am.
The annual Halloween themed run raised $240 for the Humboldt Food Bank.
