Nettie Kudryk
September 8, 1933 – October 25, 2015

Nettie passed away very peacefully on Sunday evening, October 25, 2015, at her residence, St. Mary’s Villa, Humboldt, SK, with family at her side.  She was 82 years of age.  Nettie will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters:  Pauline Perdinka and Mary Jones; sister-in-law, Tena Kudryk; and many nephews and nieces.  She was predeceased by her parents, Alex and Irene (nee Knihiniski) Kudryk; three sisters and three brothers:  Victoria Hyshka, Dora Globak, Ann Pascoe, and Steve, John and Peter Kudryk.  Nettie grew up in Peterson, SK, working and babysitting for many families and looking after her parents.  When her mother passed away, Nettie moved to Cudworth, SK, and was employed at St. Michael’s Hospital.  Upon retiring, she moved to Evergreen Court in Cudworth, where she spent many hours playing cards, doing puzzles, and visiting with friends.  She always had an opinion; you knew what she was thinking, which made her fun to be with.  Nettie told us that life can be grand as long as you don’t weaken.   We wish to thank all the dedicated staff at the Villa who loved Nettie and took exceptional care of her.  You are angels on earth.  The Funeral Mass was offered at St. Michael’s R.C. Church, Cudworth, on Monday, November 2, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., celebrated by Fr. Colin Roy.  Others taking part were:  Richard Perdinka, crossbearer; Dawn Button and Betty Duncan, scripture readers; Dawn Button, intentions; Wally Hyshka and Betty Duncan, giftbearers; St. Michael’s Choir, music ministry; Lucille Hyshka, eulogist; and Barry Kudryk, urnbearer.  Honorary pallbearers were “all those who shared in Nettie’s life”.  Interment followed in Peterson, SK.  Memorial donations may be directed to either the St. Mary’s Villa Foundation or to a charity of your choice.
