Saturday April 23 marked the successful return of the Muenster Elks Steak Supper.

As it has been for the previous 25 suppers, residents gathered in the Muenster Community Centre for an evening of visiting, refreshments, and the best steaks in the area.

The weather cooperated and held off a forecast snow event so the cooks could put the perfect touches on the New York cut striploins. Along with fluffy baked potatoes and all the fixings, succulent mushrooms, a Caesar salad and the infamous post-meal cheesecake, the second-to-none dining experience was welcomed back for the first time in three years.

Patrons also experienced the newly renovated community centre with its accessibility elevator. Everyone was able to access all areas of the two floors of fine dining.

The Muenster Elks are happy to emerge from a long period of relative inactivity with its membership numbers intact. One of the most active and certainly largest lodges of the organization in Canada, the Muenster Elks number more than 60 members. This year’s proceeds go to a local family with needs.
