The SJHL has announced its player awards for the first two weeks of the regular season.

Humboldt Broncos forward Logan Kurki has been named the SJHL Player of the Week stemming from the start of the season to November 16.

Kurki exploded out of the gates for the Broncos, picking up nine points (4g,5a) in the first four games. Kurki's nine points currently sit in a tie for the league-lead among all SJHL players. He has contributed at least two points in all four games so far this season, including a three-point night in his latest outing against the Estevan Bruins on November 14.

Kurki has picked up right where he left off. Last season as a rookie, following the Christmas break, Kurki finished with 17 goals in the final 21 games, leading all SJHL players. He is currently tied with Melville Millionaires, Reece Newkirk for the league lead in points to start the 2020/21 season.

The Broncos currently hold a 3-1 record and will look for continued success when they take on the Notre Dame Hounds on Saturday, November 21.
