A 4th year university student is getting ready to make a statement on the federal level.
Brooke Malinoski, the Liberal candidate for the Yorkton/ Melville riding is from the area and knows what important issues affect residents.
"There's no denying that when your driving from community to community in rural Saskatchewan particularly in Yorkton/ Melville the roads are dangerous, they are hazardous, they're dangerous to drive on but they are also bad for vehicles and that's a huge expense for those living in the riding and that's something I think needs to be addressed. I also think we need to be focused on hospitals, I do believe that Yorkton needs to be receiving a new hospital."
When asked what impact she would like to leave, Malinoski explained her desire for the betterment of the region
"To increase the voice that Yorkton/ Melville has in Ottawa. I would really like to see some of the things that the federal government does or things that they do benefit our riding in particular. I would like to see that money coming to Yorkon/ Melville and I would like to see things improve where we are."
Malinoski is getting a double honours in Political and Indigenous studies from the University of Saskatchewan.
