Humboldt native and tattoo enthusiast Kat Schlosser is back in the running to be the Inked Magazine’s Cover Girl Contest. The contest winner will be celebrated by being the cover model in the annual Inked Magazine Contest. Schlosser went for the prize in 2020 and admitted she had so much fun, she wanted to take up the challenge again.

“Last year, I made it to the round right before the final,” says Schlosser. “I placed third in my group, and in order to move on to the finals, I had to place first. I’m hoping with enough votes this year, I can make it at least to the finals.”

Schlosser’s competitive and adventurous nature made it a natural decision to try out once again. Along with the cover spread on Inked Magazine, the winner receives a $25,000 prize along with coverage in the magazine. There is also a variety of mini-prizes to be had along the way.

Schlosser’s love of art and visuals as a photographer led to her first tattoos. She continues to find value in all manners of art whether in one of her photographers or whether she herself is the canvass. Schlosser is also an animal lover, and as she did last year, she promises a portion of her winnings, should she be successful, will go to the SPCA in Humboldt.

“In fact, I’ll match every vote, up to $100, with a dollar donated to the SPCA. Not only will you be helping me with the contest, but you’ll also be helping the SPCA.”
