Kal Tire’s Replay Fund has literally given a strong footing to the Water Ridge Park Playground Committee’s efforts. Thanks to a $10,000 grant, the new play structure, being installed in the park over the summer, will have a custom designed rubberized surface for safe play.

Kal Tire’s Replay Fund helps to cover the cost of installing rubber products made from scrap tires. Products including landscape tiles, paving, garden mulch, playground surfaces, flooring and roofing can all be fashioned from recycled rubber tires.

“We’re grateful for the $10,000 grant from Kal Tire,” said Breanna Landry with the Playground Committee. “We’re actually doing a rubber ground installation for the structure.”

The Humboldt project is the latest recipient of the Replay Fund award which has supported projects such as the Okanagan Science Centre in Vernon, BC and roofing for the Caravan Farm Theatre display in southern BC.
