The Jansen Kinettes know how to host an online auction which is evident by their recent success.

Terri Hamilton, TeleMiracle Rep, talks about why they went with an online auction.

"Because of COVID this year we weren't able to go canvassing or do a lot of the projects we normally do for TeleMiracle. Jansen being a smaller area, I think there are less than 100 people in town, we almost always bring over twenty thousand to TeleMiracle. We wanted to do something so we had the idea of doing the online auction and we were hoping for a little bit but we just got astounded by what we got."

The auction was a huge success with over $20,000.00 being raised. The final total, which has yet to be released, will be shared live on TeleMiracle 45 on February 27 and 28.

Some of the items in the auction were homemade baked goods and donated items from people in and around the community.

"A lot local and some from other places as well, everyone got together and donated what they could. If anyone knows Anne Monchuk shes got amazing baking and she put a dozen cinnamon buns up for auction and they went for $2200.00!"

This wasn't the highest bid on item either! There was a cheesecake/pie plus some office organization that went for $2500.00.

One of Marianne Knaus' baked goods.
A few of the items seemed to get a bit carried away with bidding wars but the end results were not only astounding but truly show the heart of the people involved in a small-town Saskatchewan.
