On November 26, Humboldt Conservation Officers were called about a white-tailed deer that had been shot and left to waste in a field southwest of Lanigan.

Officers arrived and determined the deer was shot in the early hours of the morning, or the day prior.

Vehicle tracks were found, indicating that the vehicle had driven up to the deer and left the scene leaving the animal to waste.

Officers are still investigating but are asking the public for some help. If you have any information related to the deer, call your local Conservation Officer or the Saskatchewan Turn In Poachers & Polluters line at 1-800-667-7561 or #5555 from a SaskTel Cell phone.
