The Annual General Meeting of the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce saw two new members added to the Board of Directors. Brent Walker, General Manager of Humboldt Co-op and Mike Pulice, CEO of Dzinehaus Computers were inducted as the newest board members.

Brent Walker comes to the Board with previous experience from his thirty-year career with Federated Co-op. This will be the fourth community in which he has served on a C of C board. Always mindful of the Chambers connection to businesses and the community, Walker sees the Chamber in Humboldt as a strong advocate for its members. Walker has been migrating eastward having served on Chambers in Mackenzie, BC; Innisfail and Drumheller, AB; and now in Humboldt. Walker recalls Drumheller's Chamber as a unique situation, "They operated the world's largest dinosaur and were responsible for the staffing of the Tyrell Museum. They operated with a little more than a 2 million dollar budget, so it's a little different than a regular chamber.

Mike Pulice, on the other hand, is a newcomer to the Board but not to the Humboldt and District Chamber of Commerce itself. A ten-year member, Pulice states, "I want to do my part and see what I can help out with." At this point, Pulice is anxious to learn more about the workings of the Board to see where the best fit might be.

One thing is obvious; both men are passionate about business and about supporting the interests of the Chamber of Commerce in Humboldt.
