Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for heavy snowfall expected in the following areas over the weekend:

  • Humboldt 
  • Wynyard
  • Wadena
  • Lanigan
  • Foam Lake

Environment Canada says snowfall is expected to begin on Saturday in western parts of the province and will expand eastward throughout the day. 

A total of 10 to 20 cm is expected to appear across most of southern Saskatchewan, with some pockets of up to 30 cm possible. 

The snow is expected to exit the province on Sunday night. 

Those looking to travel over the weekend should check the Highway Hotline and the DiscoverHumboldt weather before leaving to see conditions.
