The Saskatchewan Roughriders were in action for the first game of the regular season Thursday night in Montreal against the Allouettes. It was Darian Durant's first game against his former team, and Durant left the field with the last laugh.

The game was a very back and forth affair which saw the Roughriders with the lead at 16-14 in the fourth quarter until a field goal from the Allouettes gave them a one point lead. A missed field goal at the end of the game cost the Roughriders the win.

All and all, it wasn't a bad showing for the Roughriders. They will be in action again next Saturday, July 1st, against the Winnipeg Blue Bombers at home. Hopefully our team can pull out a win for the first regular season game in the new stadium.
