Snow. Cold. We've all dealt with both this week in Humboldt and area. As a girl who's used to temperatures hovering around 15 degrees (on the plus side!) at this time of year, I must say the recent snowfall has thrown me off a bit, of late.

Dressing well, no matter the season, is always at the forefront of a fashionista’s mind. As I try and acclimatize myself to life in Saskatchewan and brace myself for my first prairie winter, I fear my desire to remain stylish may lose out to the urge to stay warm and push style to the side out of necessity.

So, this week, I have to ponder the question: is it still possible to remain stylish and on-trend when our human instinct is to do everything possible to stay warm kicks in during the bitterly cold months? Are there runway trends that are wearable in SK this season?

I thought I'd look at some of the forecasted fashion trends for Fall 2017 and see how they could translate in the already “brisk” Saskatchewan climate we are faced with here in Humboldt and area.

Here are five major Fall 2017 style trends that girlfriend can work with when the mercury dips way below zero:

1. WINTER FLORALS

2. FUN FUR (COLOURED):

3. QUILTED/AMERICANA/PATCHWORK:

4. 'MATRIX'/BLACK/LEATHER:

5. HEAD-TO-TOE DENIM:
