The wet weather is making for some changes with this year's Summer Sizzler kickoff. Events previously planned for Water Ridge Park will now be held indoors at Jubilee Hall.

The barbecue is still a go at the Uniplex just outside, but patrons can enjoy their burgers with the entertainment indoors. The water lantern lighting ceremony will be held indoors at the Aquatic Centre. 

The Special Olympics barbecue scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled, and will instead be an SPCA barbeque at the same time, and place.
