The Humboldt Broncos skated off with a 4-0 win over the Yorkton Terriers on Saturday night in a rough and tumble affair where the penalty minutes mounted in the third period.

Humboldt's Alec Saretsky scored the opening marker in the first, a power play goal assisted by Maddox Amaral and Daylan Weigel.

That was followed up right after the puck drop in the second by Jeter Korte. Korte got the call up from the Warman Wildcats 18U AAA squad to mark his first goal with the Broncos.  It was Timothy Kim and Noah Barlage on the assist.

Sam Marburg tagged the third goal a bit later in the second with a little help from Lucas Ceccarelli and Jacob Boucher. Maddox Amaral rounded out the Broncos scoring on the power playlate in the third. Assisting were Weifel and Carsten Kayter.

Things got spirited in the final frame as the fisticuffs broke out early in the period. In spite of the end of game heroics, the Terriers couldn’t manage a foothold. Newly acquired Broncos goaltender Hayden Dunford got the shut out.

The Broncos are on the road next weekend to Weyburn, and back in Humboldt on Wednesday, December 7th to try their hands against Notre Dame.
