High school badminton season is winding down and the first step of the playoffs took place Tuesday and Wednesday in the Horizon Central Athletic Association.

Pre-districts were held Englefeld, LeRoy, Cudworth, Bruno, Middle Lake, Holdfast and Wynyard.

Top qualifiers advanced to districts, which will take place in Foam Lake on Saturday.
