Sunday afternoon was the Fifth Annual Ukrainian Dance Recital at the St. Dominic Gymnasium.

Residents of Humboldt were able to take in 14 performances with 20 dancers ranging from the ages of 3-13. The first performance was at 3 PM with a silver collection at the door.

The dancing season starts in October, with the recital mainly organized to wrap up the dancing season for the teachers and dancers. Over the years, the program has continued to grow more and more.

"The first year we had a few guest dancer perform because we only had a few kids that were just learning but now there are some kids that are doing individual dances, solos, duets, and group dances so we've got enough of our own performances," said Diane Nordick, with the Ukrainian Dance Program.

People could also enjoy desserts after the dance with the silver collection going towards the program.
