Harvest is continuing across the province, with 9% of the 2016 crop in the bin, according to Saskatchewan Agriculture's Weekly Crop Report.

In the Humboldt area, a reported 3% has been harvested.

Sixty-seven per cent of winter wheat, 2% of spring wheat and durum, 12% of barley, 13% of lentils and 23% of peas have been combined. Nineteen per cent of canola has been swathed.

Topsoil moisture conditions have improved, with cropland conditions sitting at 25% surplus and 75% adequate. Hay land and pasture is 20% surplus, 77% adequate and 3% short.

Crop damage is attributed to localized flooding, lodging and diseases like sclerotinia and fusarium head blight.

Last year, 16% of the crop was combined at this time of year, though this year's 9% is still slightly above the five-year average of 8%. 

Producers in the southeast have come furthest along thus far, with 19% of the crop in the bin. Twelve per cent is combined in the southwest, 6% in the east-central, 4% in the west-central and 3% in the northwest region.
