Saskatchewan and Alberta farmers with crop remaining in the field will be counting on some cooperative weather in the coming weeks.

Saskatchewan Crop Insurance estimates about 1.3 million acres need to be combined, mainly in the northern half of the province.

Ian Epp of the Canola Council of Canada there tends to be more crop out closer to the Alberta border, particularly north and west of Kindersley.

He advises growers to get a sample to assess quality.
