Producers left high and dry by Naber Specialty Grains in Melfort can now file claims against the grain company.

Naber was licensed by the Canadian Grain Commission to operate a primary grain elevator in Melfort until May 8, 2015. In June of last year, it was placed into receivership, leaving a number of producers stuck.

Now, the CGC has announced the are commencing the claims process to compensate farmers who were not paid for their grain deliveries.

Grain producers who are owed money for delivery to Naber may be eligible for compensation under the Canada Grain Act.

You can contact the Canadian Grain Commission Producers for full information on the process and if you are eligible to proceed.
